New Options
The new Ford Escape has a new front end with a grille and a logo. There are also new trim lines like Active, ST-Line, and Platinum. There's the option for the new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model. This one is called PHEV. Other new options include the Ford Sync 3 or Sync 4 connectivity for infotainment.
Capability
The new Ford Escape features three powertrain options to propel you on your journey. Among these powertrains lies the optional 2.5-liter hybrid engine that delivers 210 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque in total output. You can keep the electric motor all charged via a level one mobile power cord.
The new Ford Escape features an available all-wheel drive that delivers optimized control and stability when driving through adverse conditions. The standard selectable drive modes allow you to customize your driving experience fully.
Safety
The Ford Escape offers shoppers a full array of safety features. These features include auto emergency braking and the forward collision warning. You will be warned if you are about to hit something to avoid a crash. The Ford Escape will also brake automatically if it detects an imminent collision. Also, standard features for the Ford Escape include lane-departure warning and the assist feature. You get the blind spot and rear cross-traffic alert options, all standard.
Trim Level Offerings
The Ford Escape Base offers front-wheel drive as standard along with all-wheel-drive as an available option. It has an 8-speed auto transmission. You get the standard 8-inch infotainment screen with LED headlamps. This also gives you wireless connectivity integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get the auto high beam headlight option.
The next trim level is Active. The Ford Escape Active comes with a standard Bang and Olufsen sound system, giving you ten speakers and a subwoofer to deliver a wealth of audio power. The driver's seat is now upgraded with eight-way power adjustability. You also get a power liftgate for easier access to the cargo area.
The ST-Line Select gives you a 12.0-inch productivity screen that helps you look at various functions. This includes onboard navigation as well as adaptive cruise control. Thus, you can easily find your way to the destination while paying attention to the road. The Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is there too. This gives you lots of different driver-assist options for staying safe. You even get a 360-degree monitor.
The Platinum option allows you access to options like remote start and the wireless charging pad from the Co-Pilot option. You can also choose from several upgrade options, including a panoramic sunroof. Thus, you and your passengers can enjoy the warm blue sunshine while driving.
With the PHEV trim, you can switch off the engine and run only on the electric motors for over 35 miles. You can also add Active Park Assist as well for an additional option. This system will make it so the car parks itself, so you can easily get in and out of a tight spot.
